Problem:

Hotpoint Appliances' Chicago, IL, USA refrigerator plant found that pinch rolls were unsatisfactory for feeding and handling steel blanks used in making refrigerator shells.

Solution:

Eriez permanent magnetic Magna-Rolls® propel the sheets into a 200-ton (181 mt) notching press. Six additional rolls carry the sheets through the press. At the discharge end, more Magna-Rolls remove the blanks, eliminating a cumbersome manual operation.
